Engineer - Thermal Spray Application Development (m/f/d)
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Development of thermal spray materials, coatings and spray parameters
- Identifying new applications and problem solutions in the field of thermal spraying
- Leading product development projects (Stage Gate®) for new spray powders and suspensions from idea to commercialization
- Working closely with colleagues in all parts of the product development cycle from Raw Materials to Research & Development and Analytics to Business Unit and Production
- Working closely with international customers from R&D and production
- International business travel: Europe, North America, Asia
Requirements
- PhD/Diploma/Master degree in materials science or other technical discipline
- Strong expertise in thermal spraying, ideally with focus on ceramics and suspension spraying
- Experience as project leader
- Hands-on experience with thermal spray equipment
- Very good English (written and spoken)
- Self-driven, self-motivated
- Positive “can do” attitude
- Customer oriented
- Willing to do international travel
- Team player
