DVS CONGRESS 2026: Register Now

The DVS CONGRESS 2026 provides insights into new applications and practical use cases, as well as a wide range of real-world examples. The focus is on professional exchange about current challenges and research questions in joining, cutting, and coating technologies, as well as networking with experts in the respective fields. In Erlangen, the event demonstrates how knowledge becomes effective in practice. Two central trends in joining, cutting, and coating technology take center stage: the joining technology requirements for welding businesses in defense technology, and the role of artificial intelligence. Additionally, as usual, the DVS CONGRESS offers information from industry and research on materials, safe manufacturing processes, quality assurance, digital process chains and automated applications. Here’s an overview of the key highlights of DVS CONGRESS 2026:

DVS CAMPUS – The stage for tomorrow’s professionals

With DVS CAMPUS, DVS creates a platform for academic talent. Young researchers present their findings to an interdisciplinary audience, engage in professional exchange and bring fresh ideas to the industry.

Keynote and panel discussions

The DVS CONGRESS programme kicks off on Monday, September 14, 2026, with a keynote address. This is followed by expert-led panel discussions addressing current issues in joining, cutting and coating technologies.

DVS Evening with the 2nd DVS Science Slam

The DVS Evening provides an opportunity to wrap up the first day of the congress with networking and professional exchange. Part of the programme is the DVS Science Slam, which was successfully inaugurated at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN in Essen, Germany. Scientists present complex technical topics in an understandable, entertaining and engaging way.

Accompanying trade exhibition and sponsor pitches

The trade exhibition complements the DVS CONGRESS programme with practical insights into current products, processes and services. Sponsor pitch presentations also provide concise information on new developments and application areas.
