Hufschmied at the JEC World 2026

As a manufacturer of material- and process-optimized milling tools, Hufschmied Machining systems will be on display again at JEC World in Paris, France, from March 10 through 12, 2026. Hufschmied Tools designed to meet the specific challenges posed by machining plastics and fiber-reinforced plastics. Co-exhibitor is SoniCut, a manufacturer of ultrasonic cutting systems, for which Hufschmied which supplies the blades. This Ureol mold for laying the CFRP fabric for a flying wing drone was manufactured with maximum efficiency using the Blockbuster, a roughing and finishing tool for plastic block materials.

A partnership is also behind one of the exhibits at the booth: a Ureol mold for laying the CFRP fabric for a flying wing drone. The same milling example is also being shown at the booth of the machine manufacturer CMS (5N58). This is a joint project from an aerospace event at Hufschmied. The efficient machining was carried out using the tools Blockbuster, Mini-Graftor and T-REX.

No delamination necessary

“When machining CFRP components with standard tools, delamination and the need to rework rough edges are inevitable. Our tools, specially developed for composite materials, on the other hand, produce perfect surfaces right from the start – saving many of our customers an entire work step,” says Christel Hufschmied, managing director of the Hufschmied Zerspanungssysteme. This refers to the T-REX and Hexacut tools, which will be showcased at JEC World. An application example of these tools, which are distinguished primarily by their cutting edge geometry and coating, is a CFRP battery tray.

Processing lightweight materials

Another focus of the trade fair presentation is the processing of aerospace materials such as honeycomb. For this purpose, they will be presenting Hufschmied Durable ultrasonic cutting blades are used in conjunction with the Fiber Cracker, a specialized milling tool. It is particularly suitable for honeycomb materials without facing layers.
