Change in Leadership: Arnd Winkelnkemper Takes Over as Managing Director of DVS Media GmbH

Arnd Winkelnkemper (51) brings extensive experience in digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI) and the development and expansion of digital business models. In leadership roles within the media industry, he has been responsible for the development and operation of digital platforms and media products, including offerings from t-online.de. His areas of expertise include the digitisation of business models, products and corporate processes, as well as strategy and transformation projects and topics such as AdTech, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and marketing automation.

“For decades, DVS Media has stood for well-founded expert information and practical knowledge transfer. Building on this strong foundation while creating new digital offerings that add value for our customers, readers and event participants is both a commitment and an incentive for me,” explains Arnd Winkelnkemper. “I look forward to working with the team to further strengthen the company’s assets and successfully lead DVS Media into the future as a leading provider of knowledge transfer and professional communication.” In addition to his leadership positions in major consumer publishing houses, Winkelnkemper has driven and implemented the digital transformation of numerous specialist publishers and industrial companies as a management consultant. He combines in-depth industry knowledge from media, specialist publishing, and industry. Most recently, he served as Director of Product Management at Ströer Publishing.

“DVS Media plays a key role within the DVS Group: it makes knowledge visible, accessible and usable,” says Dr.-Ing. Roland Boecking, Chief Executive Officer of DVS, adding: “With Arnd Winkelnkemper, a managing director is taking responsibility who can shape change processes and develop new perspectives. I am convinced that he will successfully support DVS Media in consistently aligning its offerings with the needs of our professional community and in opening up new business models for knowledge transfer.”

DVS President Susanne Szczesny-Oßing acknowledges Dirk Sieben’s contribution to the development of DVS Media GmbH and the DVS Group. During his tenure, reliable offerings for joining, cutting, and coating technology were further developed and new business areas were opened up. She adds: “The established brands HOME OF WELDING, HOME OF FOUNDRY, HOME OF STEEL and HOME OF LOGISTICS today make an important contribution to knowledge transfer and networking in their respective industries. We thank Dirk Sieben for his many years of trustworthy collaboration and wish him all the best for his future.”

DVS Media GmbH is a subsidiary of DVS and, within the DVS Group, is responsible for the dissemination of expert knowledge and industry information. With various established trade journals, books, software, editorial management of the DVS rulebook, and other digital offerings, it provides knowledge for different target groups. Since 2023, DVS Media has also organized and managed all DVS events, thereby promoting the exchange of knowledge and experience in the joining, cutting and coating industry.
