Chinaplas 2027: Advancing a Smarter and Circular Future

Chinaplas 2027, where the plastics and rubber industries showcase their next wave of innovation, is set to take center stage at Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Bao'an), PR China, from April 13 through 16, 2027. The exhibition area is expected to reach 390,000 m2, bringing together over 4,700 international exhibitors.

Alternating held between Shenzhen (odd years) and Shanghai (even years), CHINAPLAS returns to Shenzhen with a refreshed proposition spanning a new theme, emerging sectors, and novel innovations. Rooted in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, reaching across Asia, and connecting deeply with global industrial-chain resources, the show is riding the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) momentum and writing a new chapter for the plastics and rubber industries.

New theme

Chinaplas 2027 embarks on a new journey under the theme “Advancing a Smarter, Circular Future – As One,” focusing on the core propositions of intelligent innovation, green upgrading and stronger supply chain resilience in the plastics and rubber industries. 2026 marks the APEC “China Year”, while the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting will be held in Shenzhen in November under the theme "Building an Asia-Pacific Community to Prosper Together", with a focus on three priorities: “Openness, Innovation, and Cooperation”.

Against this backdrop, the event responds to the defining issues of APEC and shared development through industry practice. It brings together enterprises and technology experts throughout the global plastics and rubber industrial chain to showcase and exchange innovations in intelligent manufacturing, advanced materials, circular economy and low-carbon technologies. By facilitating technology exchange, supply-demand matching and cross-regional cooperation, the exhibition will further strengthen Shenzhen’s role as an international platform that connects the Asia-Pacific and reaches the world, propelling the plastics and rubber industries towards higher levels of technological innovation, green transformation and industrial collaboration.

Megatrends including circular economy, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and supply chain restructuring are reshaping global manufacturing landscape. Competition is no longer one-dimensional. It now spans environmental sustainability, circularity, core technological capabilities, operational efficiency and supply chain resilience. Artificial intelligence is becoming embedded in essential industrial processes such as injection moulding, extrusion, inspection, packaging and materials R&D. It is emerging as a pivotal variable in reshaping efficiency, quality and cost, while powering innovation and industrial development in green and low-carbon technologies. Amid the deep adjustments in global trade and economic structure, ensuring stable and secure industrial and supply chains have become a primary focus and a vital safeguard for the high-quality development of manufacturing.

Anchored by six defining trends – green development, intelligence, high-end advancement, functionality, integration and globalisation, the exhibition unites over 4,700 international exhibitors and over 300,000 professional visitors from around the world. From plastics and rubber raw materials to machinery and equipment and from innovative technology products to downstream application industries, every segment in the value chain works in concert with a global outlook.

Rooted in Shenzhen

In 2025, the added value of the city’s low-altitude economy and aerospace industry cluster reached RMB 35.06B, surged 31 % year-on-year. Its robotics sector is home to more than 91,000 companies. The integrated-circuit industry also shows robust momentum, recording sales revenue of RMB 361.04B in 2025, up 27.1 % year-on-year, ranking among the nation’s top.
