Demanding Surface Solutions

The Lüdenscheid Plastics Institute invites you to attend its ‘Innovative Surfaces’ symposium on 17 September 2025. This annual event provides a platform for experts from industry and research to find out about and discuss the latest developments and future trends in surface technology. Participants can also look forward to an accompanying exhibition featuring exhibits from some of the speakers.

Nowadays, surfaces are required to meet several demands at the same time: they must be functional and robust, offer a high-quality appearance and be pleasant to the touch. At the same time, the sustainability of products is becoming increasingly important. These requirements are driving the development of new coating materials and technologies and opening up new possibilities for established manufacturing processes. Innovative solutions are needed in terms of durability and environmental friendliness, without compromising on quality and aesthetics.

This year's ‘Innovative Surfaces’ symposium on 17 September 2025 will focus on sustainable, functional and aesthetically sophisticated surface solutions. High-calibre presentations will shed light on topics such as forward-looking colour and material trends, functional coatings, inkjet printing technologies, thermoformed glass, circular electroplating and biomimetic laser surfaces. The programme will be complemented by an accompanying trade exhibition and an interactive discussion format.

The conference begins on the evening before with a relaxed get-together and offers a wide range of networking opportunities on the day of the event. The venue is the Plastics Institute in Lüdenscheid.
