IMTS 2026: Prima Power Presents Laser Processing Technologies

Prima Power will present its Laserdyne laser processing technologies at IMTS 2026, taking place from 14 to 19 September at McCormick Place in Chicago. The company will exhibit at booth 13522.

The systems are intended for applications including precision laser drilling, laser welding, cutting and the processing of complex components. According to Prima Power, the motion systems achieve a positioning accuracy of ±0.012 mm. Beam control and software functions are designed to support repeatable processing and real-time monitoring.

Software Functions Control Laser Processing

Laserdyne technologies include OFC2 Absolute, SmartRamp, SmartPierce, SmartSense, SmartComp, CylPerf and LinPerf. These functions control individual stages of the laser process and are intended to improve process stability, reduce scrap and shorten production times.

The systems combine motion control, beam guidance and process software. This allows manufacturers to process complex geometries and adjust parameters for different drilling, welding and cutting applications.

BeamDirector and Laser Next Head on Display

Prima Power will exhibit the BeamDirector and Laser Next Head at IMTS. Both laser heads are designed for precise beam delivery in laser material processing. Their applications include the production of components requiring controlled beam positioning and repeatable processing conditions.

Prima Power representatives Bryan Nichols, Carl Bryan and Fabrizio Anzalone will be available at the exhibition to discuss laser applications and manufacturing requirements.

Development of High-power Laser Welding Systems

Prima Power is also testing high-power welding systems as it expands its laser processing portfolio. The development work focuses on laser welding, controlled beam guidance and the transfer of new processes into industrial production.
