International Welding Competition Wraps up

The best young welders from 13 countries, aged 16 to 23, came together to determine the world’s best team at the leading trade fair in Essen. Participating teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, China, Greece, India, Italy, Romania, Switzerland, Serbia, Spain, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine competed against each other. The award ceremony for this next generation of welders took place on Friday, September 19, 2025, following individual and team competitions.

As the host country, Germany was represented by the DVS. Attendees of SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN had the chance to witness the welding competitions up close, following the action live in the TEKA-Galeria competition arena at Messe Essen and experiencing the thrill firsthand.

In the team competition Switzerland scored 1. Place, 2. Place went to Bosnia-Herzegovina and Rumania secured 3. Place. The winners of the indivitual competitions will be published on this platform next week.

We extend our sincere congratulations to the winners and all participants. The competition provides a unique opportunity for international participants at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025 to showcase their skills, build valuable connections, gain new experiences, and achieve record performances. It is an event that creates lasting memories for everyone involved.
