New Battery-Powered Welding Tool

New Battery-Powered Welding Tool

aquatherm introduces a new battery-powered welding tool designed to make welding polypropylene (PP) pipes easier and faster. The MSG 40 A, suitable for both bench and hands-free use, operates on an 18.0 V battery with a 10.0 Ah capacity. Its cordless design allows unrestricted movement, especially beneficial in tight workspaces.

With fast-recharging LiHD battery technology, efficiency is maximised and having two batteries nearly eliminates downtime. Compact and ergonomically designed, the tool ensures easy handling, even during extended use. An electronic control system allows precise temperature adjustments between 100 and 300 °C, meeting the DVS 2208-1 guideline (09/2019).

The MSG 40 A uses batteries compatible with the Cordless Alliance System (CAS), a cross-industry collaboration among top tool manufacturers. CAS batteries and chargers are interchangeable across partner brands, allowing MSG 40 A batteries to power other CAS partner tools. CAS is an open system continuously growing with more renowned manufacturers, ensuring the battery and charging technology’s long-term availability and expandability.
