Replique Nominated for German Founder Award

Replique, the on-demand manufacturing platform for industrial parts, has been nominated for the German Founder Award 2025 (Deutscher Gründerpreis) in the “StartUp” category. The prestigious award recognizes young companies between one and three years old that have successfully brought their business idea to market.

Bringing flexibility and resilience to industrial manufacturing

Founders Dr. Henrike Wonneberger and Dr. Max Siebert draw on their expertise in materials science and digitalization from their careers in the chemical industry. Together, they developed a solution that makes part procurement simpler, cost-efficient and risk-free.

“We’re in an exciting phase of growth right now. Being nominated by the jury of the German Founder Award as one of the most promising startups is a strong signal for industrial and tech startups that are shaping the digital transformation,” says Dr. Max Siebert, co-founder and CEO of Replique. “It proves that our procurement solution is hitting the mark at exactly the right moment.”

250+ production partners, 500+ materials, one single source

As a partner, Replique enables on-demand, decentralized production of spare parts, small to medium series and specialized components – independent of traditional supply chains. The company leverages a qualified network of partners covering technologies such as 3D-printing, CNC machining, forging, casting and injection molding.

Through Replique’s digital inventory, companies can ensure long-term part availability without tying up capital in physical stock or dealing with complex procurement processes. Plus, customers benefit from a dedicated point of contact who supports them throughout the whole process – from technology and material selection to production, quality assurance and logistics.

On track for global growth

Replique was founded in 2023 as a spin-off from Chemovator, BASF’s venture builder. Today, global customers such as MAN, Alstom, Danfoss and Roche rely on Replique’s solution, which integrates with existing procurement systems (ERP, webshops).

Prestigious award for founders in Germany

The German Founder Award is considered the country’s most important award for entrepreneurs and is one of the most prestigious business honours in Germany. It is presented by the partners Sparkassen, ZDF, Porsche and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. The award ceremony will take place on September 9, 2025, in Berlin. The German Founder Award is supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
