Röchling Industrial Acquires Polypres Mediterráneo

Röchling Industrial acquired the Spanish company Polypres Mediterráneo, based in Alfarrasí near Valencia, effective September 3, 2026. With this transaction, the global plastics processor continues to consistently pursue its strategic development in the field of thermoplastic pressed sheets. Following the acquisition of the operating business of Terbrack Kunststoff in March 2026, the acquisition of Polypres marks another important milestone and further strengthens Röchling Industrial's market position in Europe.

A strong european platform for sustainable growth

With the integration of Polypres, Röchling Industrial is further expanding its presence in the European market for thermoplastic pressed sheets. Combining the expertise of Röchling Industrial, Terbrack and Polypres lays the foundation for an even more powerful European network with a broader technological base, an expanded manufacturing footprint and a comprehensive product portfolio. “Customers will benefit from a stronger European manufacturing and service network, enhanced delivery capabilities and greater security of supply. The combination of the three companies creates additional capacity and redundancy within our network while broadening the range of products and applications we can offer. Established manufacturer of pressed plastic sheets

Founded in 2000, Polypres employs more than 60 people and manufactures pressed plastic sheets made from polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP). Its products are used in a wide range of industrial applications, including the chemical, food and paper industries, as well as in mechanical engineering.
“Polypres has strong technical expertise, well-established customer relationships and extensive experience in plastics processing. Our goal is to preserve Polypres’ existing strengths while creating opportunities for further growth together,” says Sebastian Martinez, Site Manager. Polypres will continue to operate in the market with its proven products, employees, and customer relationships. No short-term changes are planned with regard to its business model, points of contact or collaboration with customers and suppliers.

Strategic project successfully completed

The acquisition of Polypres marks the successful completion of a strategic project lasting approximately two years at Röchling Industrial, aimed at further developing and strengthening its European business in thermoplastic pressed sheets. “With the acquisitions of Terbrack and Polypres, we are creating a strong European platform for thermoplastic pressed sheets. This strengthens our market presence, enhances our capabilities for customers and underlines our long-term commitment to this attractive market segment,” emphasizes Korte-Dirxen.
