Tactile Laser Welding in Automobile Production

When speed and precision are required

Time is critical when welding in automotive production. Weld and brazed seams must be applied quickly and, above all, reliably. Tactile laser welding has established itself for special requirements. The tactile laser optics MPH Tactile from Abicor Binzel, which was developed in collaboration with PT Photonic Tools, offers speed, precision and reliability, especially in the automotive industry.

Watch this video as a battery housing made of aluminium is welded using tactile welding along with the features of the MPH Tactile. The laser optics' automatic tolerance compensation detects any irregularities in the components. The cross-section of the junction shows the good seam formation, which guarantees an optimum flow of force.
