Tungsten electrode exchange made easy

Anzeige

Every intervention in a robotic welding cell costs time and money. That’s why the tungsten electrode should also be changed automatically. The automated tungsten electrode exchange system Abitig TEX – which includes the Abitig CT TEX robotic torch – enables a smooth exchange of the welding electrode in just 45 seconds. The system is immediately ready for use again afterward.

Because TIG welding requires absolute precision from the welding system, each automated tungsten electrode exchange must guarantee identical starting conditions. The electrode stickout in relation to the gas nozzle is essential for achieving high weld quality. After each new clamping operation, the tungsten electrode must always be positioned in exactly the same way.

Advantages of the Abitig TEX tungsten electrode exchange system:
  • Ensures consistently high weld seam quality
  • Easy to integrate into the production process
  • Suitable for tungsten electrodes from 2.4 mm to 4.0 mm
  • Holds up to 30 tungsten electrodes
  • Guarantees a repeatable exchange process
  • Automatically exchanges electrodes in just 45 seconds
  • Fast ROI
