TWI sign MoU with Titomic

TWI has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with cold spray additive manufacturing technology specialists, Titomic. This cold spray-related agreement enables us to deliver end-to-end capabilities, from materials and process development through to proof of concept, accreditation and certification. With the ability to scale up to meet real-world demands, this collaborative agreement strengthens our relationship with Titomic, who have also recently become TWI Industrial Members.

Speaking on the MoU, TWI’s Director of Technology, Malcolm Lee said, “This partnership with Titomic provides a platform for further collaboration and the continued advancement of cold spray technology as a reliable solution for industry. Building upon decades of experience in additive manufacturing and allied technologies, this agreement opens up new opportunities for our Industrial Members.”

Titomic Managing Director and CEO, Jim Simpson commented, “We are seeing increased demand signals for our advanced manufacturing capabilities in the UK and Europe. Partnering with TWI accelerates Titomic’s global strategy to expand the adoption of Titomic Kinetic Fusion technology through trusted, high-impact collaborations. TWI’s reputation in research, development, and certification provides an ideal platform to showcase and deploy our solutions across critical industries in the UK and Europe.”

This MoU marks the first step towards providing a credible, industrial ‘shop window’ for cold spray technology in the UK.
