Massive geopolitical challenges, disrupted supply chains, high tariffs and scarce raw materials: Despite the global challenges the Düsseldorf Fairgrounds were buzzing with activity. An entire industry demonstrated its unwavering determination to actively shape the future and break new ground.
The demand for high-performance, resilient materials – particularly within the defense sector – continues to grow, underscoring the need for reliable producers and the development of robust new supply chains. The recent trade fair highlighted the increasing strategic importance of the defense industry, attracting diverse visitor groups seeking innovative solutions to meet stringent material and quality requirements.
The event, held in Düsseldorf, featured 2,600 exhibitors from 65 countries, presenting the entire value chain across 119,000 m² in 16 exhibition halls. Key technological themes such as artificial intelligence, robotics, renewable energies and the energy transition were not merely conceptual; they were demonstrated as integral components of current and future industrial practice.
Attendees represented 130 countries, comprising both established and emerging target groups. Beyond the immediate success of the fair, the event fostered a clear sense of momentum: this is where the future of advanced materials and industrial innovation is being defined.
The next editions of wire and Tube are scheduled for April 3 through 7, 2028, in Düsseldorf, Germany.
