On the second day SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025 focused entirely on young professionals, students and apprentices as DVS “YOUNGSTERTAG” took place. The programme offered young people the opportunity to explore companies, network, arrange for internships or thesis projects and have fun. Two guided tours of selected companies were scheduled, giving participants the chance to ask on-site HR representatives questions about training and career opportunities in the industry. In this way, DVS facilitates direct contact between young talent and potential employers.
"Supporting young talent is a matter close to our hearts. We are especially proud of our national competition Jugend schweißt (Young Welders Competition), which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Numerous students will receive special invitations to explore joining technology in all its diversity. We look forward to supporting and nurturing many more young talents. We are happy to follow how these young professionals develop their skills and enrich welding technology with new ideas," emphasizes Dr.-Ing. Roland Boecking, CEO of DVS e. V.
