Das Stranggießen (CC) ist eine interessante Alternative zum herkömmlichen DC-Verfahren für Flachprodukte. Die Ausrüstung ist viel kompakter, die Investitionen sind geringer und es ist nur ein Prozessschritt vom geschmolzenen Metall zu einem flachen Halbzeug mit einer Dicke von üblicherweise 3 bis 6 Millimeter.
