EcoVadis Sustainability Rating September 2025

EcoVadis is one of the world’s most trusted providers of business sustainability ratings, intelligence and collaborative performance improvement tools for global supply chains. The methodology used by EcoVadis is based on international sustainability standards and supervised by a scientific community of sustainability and supply chain experts. EcoVadis looks at how companies implement sustainability across their supply chain.

“We are proud that we once again have been awarded the EcoVadis gold medal. EcoVadis is an important tool for us when evaluating sustainability aspects among suppliers in the value chain. Our gold medal provides an opportunity for our customers to evaluate us in the same way,” says Håkan Sundström, Head of Sustainability and Governance at Alleima. “Receiving the gold medal is a significant recognition of our focus on sustainability. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our work within sustainability in the years to come,” says Camilla Norling, Sustainability Controller at Alleima.

Alleima has a relatively low climate footprint from operations due to the use of recycled steel (>80 %) and fossil-free electricity in production facilities and is committed to minimizing its social and environmental impact through reducing its water usage, careful chemical management and effective use of by-products such as slag, dust and process gases.

EcoVadis rates performance of 21 sustainability criteria, in four themes: environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. It is based on leading standards, and it is supervised by an international scientific committee. The scoring is based on the company’s policies, actions and results, as well as inputs from third-party professionals and external stakeholders.
