The German Federal Agency for Breakthrough Innovation SPRIN-D commissioned water stuff & sun to assess the innovation of H2 battery technology for safe, simple and efficient storage and distribution of gases, particularly hydrogen. Further purpose of the validation assignment is to evaluate the potential of an implemented H2 ecosystem in comparison to current technologies as well as to plan and develop a pilot project that demonstrates feasibility and disruptive character of the H2 battery infrastructure. Finally, the capability of using this technology to store and distribute various technical gases in addition to hydrogen will also be evaluated.
