Strategic Refocus on Sheet Metal at FEIMEC 2026

Prima Power, a company specializing in sheet metal working manufacturing solutions, will present its Platino Linear fiber laser system at FEIMEC 2026 in São Paulo (Brazil) on May 7, 2026. Prima Industrie has consolidated its focus on integrated sheet metal solutions under the Prima Power brand, with an emphasis on modular and scalable systems designed to support production efficiency and manufacturing requirements associated with resource-conscious industrial processes.

According to the company, the Platino Linear is a compact 2D fiber laser cutting system developed for high-dynamics industrial applications. The machine is equipped with maintenance-free linear motor drives, high acceleration and cutting dynamics and an open cantilever design with a compact footprint. Its adaptive laser head with a single focusing lens includes functions such as Smart Cut and Gas Mixer Cut. Prima Power also reports that he system features a synthetic granite frame for vibration absorption and thermal stability, while the aluminum carriage structure is designed to increase rigidity and reduce moving mass in order to support cutting precision and process stability during continuous production.

The system is intended for sheet metal fabricators, including subcontractors and OEMs in sectors such as automotive, HVAC, electrical enclosures and industrial equipment. Prima Power states that the machine footprint is up to 22 % smaller than that of comparable systems. Furthermore the company describes the Platino Linear as part of a modular production environment that can be used either as a standalone cutting or in a fully automated flexible manufacturing system.

Prima Industrie states that its current focus on sheet metal solutions is based on integrated manufacturing systems rather than individual standalone machines. The company is concentrating its activities on areas such as laser cutting, bending, punching, automation and digital integration. This approach is intended to improve coordination between machines and automation systems, support operational efficiency in connected production environments and reduce energy consumption in manufacturing.
