The Versatility of a Welding Cobot

The versatility of a welding cobot

Cobots for welding are used when there is a shortage of skilled welders and production needs to become more efficient. The available experienced welders can then be assigned to do more demanding work and are relieved of repetitive welding tasks. The areas of application of a welding cobot are not exclusively limited by its reach.

A welding cobot such as the iBOTone from Abicor Binzel can perform a wide range of welding tasks. In this video you can see the iBOTone in practice in various applications. The components shown here are parts of various yellow goods such as forklift trucks and dump trucks as well as agricultural machinery and metal housings.

Operating the iBOTone welding cobot is intuitive and simple. Once the parameters have been set, this cobot can also be operated by an employee without welding expertise. This makes the iBOTone ideal for those new to automation.
