The Winners of the 14th DVS national competition "Jugend schweißt" (Young Welders)

THE WINNERS OF THE 14TH DVS NATIONAL COMPETITION “JUGEND SCHWEISST” HAVE BEEN DETERMINED.

They fought, they sweated and in the end they successfully prevailed against strong competition: The winners of this year's, 14th DVS competition “Jugend schweißt” have been determined. The best young welders in Germany were honoured on September 13 at the joint DVS-Group booth at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN.

The DVS competition "Jugend schweißt" (Young Welders Competition) is all about the four manual welding processes gas welding, manual arc welding, tungsten inert gas welding and metal active gas welding. This year's competitions began in the spring in the DVS district associations and were continued over the summer in the next higher competition level in the DVS state associations. The winners were invited to the grand finale, the DVS national competition. In years when the world's leading trade fair SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN takes place, this event is held live at the trade fair. The competition arena is in the Galeria. Naturally, the award ceremony will also take place at the fair.

In manual metal arc welding, the following young welders came out on top:

The champions in MAG welding are:

1. Christoph Müller
2. 2. Tim Roppes
3. 3. Lennard Thoben.

The top three gas welders are:

1. John Block
2. Matthias Zysk
3. Jerome Wyputa

In TIG welding, the best performers were:

1. Hannes Mielmann
2. Jonas Leon Henning
3. Lars Heinrich
