Xnet 3 Pools Data in Welding Production

With ewm Xnet 3, EWM is introducing the next stage in the development of its digital welding management system. The updated platform offers an end-to-end information system covering everything from planning and production through to quality assurance and evaluation. The web-based user interface, analysis functions and a modular structure lay the foundations for transparency, efficiency and control in welding production.

With this enhanced software, EWM connects all levels of production. The new version presents all relevant information clearly and is optimised for a range of devices. Large control elements make it easy to use, even in demanding production environments. A new dashboard displays key performance indicators and status information even more clearly, supporting welding supervisors in the day-to-day management of production.

Making targeted use of production data

Welding workshops generate extensive production and process data on a daily basis. ewm Xnet 3 has been designed to load, filter and analyse this information quickly. With the help of a live search function, relevant information can be retrieved within seconds. Individual search configurations can be saved as templates and reused. New statistics and evaluation modules expand the possibilities for analysing production key figures. These can be displayed in charts or tables and, if required, exported as CSV or PDF files. This makes it easy to identify trends and potential for efficiency improvements. An integrated print function also simplifies the creation of reports, documentation and quality certificates directly from the system.

“With ewm Xnet 3, we help our customers to better understand and effectively manage their welding production,” says Alexander Martens, Product Manager for Digital Welding Solutions at EWM. “The combination of modern software technology and many years’ experience in welding technology provides the basis for making processes clearer, identifying deviations more quickly and making decisions based on real data.”

The software has also been enhanced in the administrative area. The new welder identification management feature improves the allocation and traceability of welder identifications within production. The expanded welder management functions enable qualifications to be maintained in a structured manner and tracked at any time. In this way, ewm Xnet 3 helps companies to meet the requirements for certified welding processes.

ewm Xnet 3 has a modular structure and can be adapted to different operational requirements. From connecting individual workstations to networking entire welding fleets, the software accommodates a wide variety of scenarios. Thanks to the ability to integrate arc welding machines from other manufacturers, companies can utilise their existing equipment and gradually build up a seamless, technology-neutral welding management system.
