Abicor will exhibit at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2029 at Messe Essen. The company will present its solutions for the welding and cutting industry and at the same time sends a clear signal of the international relevance of the world-leading trade fair for joining, cutting and surfacing.
“Abicor Binzel’s return is an important signal,” says Oliver P. Kuhrt, CEO of Messe Essen. “When established technology leaders confirm their participation in SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN, it shows that Essen is the central meeting place for market leaders, decision-makers and innovations along the entire value chain.” The next SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN will take place from September 17 through 21, 2029 in Essen, Germany. The cooperation partner is DVS – German Welding Society. Under the leading theme “Showtime for Innovation”, new products, processes and system solutions will be brought to life – through personal dialogue, expert exchange and live demonstrations.
Abicor also sees the trade fair as a key communication and presentation platform: “For Abicor Binzel and the entire Abicor Group, SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN is the world’s most important platform for direct exchange with our customers, partners and the whole industry. Our renewed participation underlines the high value this trade fair has for us – as a place where technological expertise, innovative strength and personal encounters come together,” says Prof. Dr.-Ing. Emil Schubert, CEO of Abicor. “We consider the return to the established four-year cycle from 2025 to be the right decision, as it creates the necessary space for genuine technological advances and restores the trade fair’s special relevance and impact.”
With its participation in 2029, the company will also take a seat on the SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN Advisory Board. Going forward, Jan Hasselbaum, Global Director Marketing at Abicor, will contribute his expertise to the committee and support the ongoing development of the trade fair’s content.
Outlook: SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2029
The outlook is optimistic: as early as during the 2025 event, 60 % of exhibitors booked their stand for 2029. Among them are IGM Robotersysteme (Austria), Air Liquide, Kjellberg, Motofil (Portugal), Fanuc, Stahlwerk and Siegmund. The strong rebooking rate underlines the high importance of SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN within the industry. The world-leading trade fair will also build on the successful development of its supporting programme: in 2029, the Future Hub will once again become a hotspot for innovations, product presentations, panel talks and networking. In addition, the joint stand Associations in Alliance will enter its next round – bringing together international organisations from the welding and cutting sector in one place.
