New Edition of IIW-Reference Catalogue ISO 5817 Now Available

New Edition of IIW-Reference Catalogue ISO 5817 now Available

For many years, the evaluation catalog ISO 5817 from the International Institute of Welding has been helping with the assessment of irregularities in welds. Now, the catalog has been reissued with some adjustments according to ISO 5817: 2023 in its 3rd edition by DVS Media.

The catalog serves all manufacturers, operators, and inspection bodies as an aid and decision-making tool for assessing welds in production, thereby ensuring quality requirements. Using radiographic film reference cards, the user learns to correctly interpret various irregularities and their specific appearances and to classify them by size into an evaluation group according to the standard.
