SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025 [EN]

Lorch Schweißtechnik is presenting its welding technology at this year’s leading SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN trade fair in Essen, Germany,  iQS, the new flagship in MIG/MAG welding, or the latest features in cobot welding, which increases productivity and quality in automated welding production, Lorch will be showcasing thier latest innovations. For the first time, the company will share a joint booth with the European Daihen Group.

iQS, the MIG/MAG inverter platform, delivers maximum welding performance for industrial welding. A newly developed, robust inverter offers control stability with a perfect arc. Thanks to the intelligent Smart Process Control Engine, welding processes can now be developed faster and transferred to the system. In addition, extended networking will enable new welding processes or test versions of characteristic curves to be easily uploaded via Ethernet or WLAN in the future. A structured and clearly arranged Smart Cockpit ensures quick and easy operation and the newly developed RCS (Rapid Current Shutdown) technology also ensures a clean process, which significantly reduces rework. In addition to the known and positive market tested Speed processes such as SpeedPulse XT, SpeedArc, and SpeedTwin. The new process SpeedWave is now available as a welding process specially developed for aluminium welding that prevents porosity. The iQ LMS push-pull torch is also tailor-made for the iQS, welding precisely and cleanly even with long hose packages thanks to constant wire guidance.

Another focus is the Lorch Cobot Welding Solutions with numerous new functions. Lorch will be demonstrating innovative application tools such as TouchSense, SeamTracking, and SeamPilot at the trade fair, which significantly simplify seam tracking in collaborative welding and significantly increase the efficiency of cobot welding. The brand new multilayer feature will be making its trade fair debut, making it easy to weld high-quality weld seams in multiple layers precisely, efficiently and with minimal effort. Only a single seam needs to be taught and the cobot then independently calculates the ideal torch position and the optimal angle for each layer. In addition, Lorch Cobot Welding Solutions can now be combined with the new iQS inverter platform.

The new APR 900 PLUS helmet generation will also be on display at the trade fair. Thanks to its enlarged field of vision, numerous additional functions and certification in accordance with the latest safety standards, it provides greater comfort and safety. Also being showcased are the LMS and iQ-LMS Performance torches, known for their ergonomic design, performance, high productivity and focus on sustainability. As well as the popular MicorMIG series, including its latest successor, the MicorMIG mobile, which combines the strengths of the MicorMIG, such as a stable arc, simple operation and upgradeability, with the flexibility of a mobile solution.

Lorch will be exhibiting at the trade fair in Essen for the first time together with the Daihen Group, which they have been part of since 2023. Across a shared space of 700 m2, Lorch Schweißtechnik will be joined by OTC Daihen Europe, DAIHEN Varstroj, Femitec, Rolan Robotics BV, and LASOtech Systems to present cutting-edge welding technology and innovative solutions in automation and robotics.
