Join the Future – Welcome to Essen

Dear Readers,

From today on, the international community of joining, cutting and surfacing will gather in Essen for SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN. Around 800 exhibitors from 42 countries will showcase their innovations and solutions. The world’s leading trade fair is far more than a marketplace for products and technologies: it is a place of progress, knowledge transfer and cooperation – where the future of industrial manufacturing takes shape.

Essen as the host city reflects this idea in a special way. Once the heart of heavy industry, today it is a modern business and technology hub at the center of the Ruhr area. Here, tradition and innovation meet – transformation becomes tangible.
The major challenges of our time do not stop at borders: digitalization, artificial intelligence, automation, sustainability and workforce development. These topics will shape the event. With the new Future Hub, forward-looking issues take center stage. Start-ups present their ideas, experts discuss current developments, and lectures provide in-depth insights.
A particular highlight is the new IF Digital Award. Exhibitors present their digital concepts, and visitors vote for their favorites via the official app. Gold, Silver and Bronze are thus awarded not behind closed doors, but by the direct voice of the audience – making digitalization interactive and tangible.

For decades, SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN has stood for technical excellence and intensive exchange. Once again, the DVS – German Welding Society will accompany the fair with a top-level congress, adding scientific depth and expertise. Visitors to SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN not only discover the diversity of cutting-edge technologies, but also experience the unique atmosphere of an international community characterized by openness, cooperation and inspiration.
