"SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN" 2025: "Join the Future"

"SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN" 2025: Join the Future

With the theme “Join the Future,” Messe Essen will host discussions from September 15 through 19, 2025, in Essen, Germany, on the topics currently engaging and shaping the industry. The excellent booking status for the world’s leading trade fair in welding, cutting and coating, "SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN" 2025, highlights the event's status as an essential platform, promising a programme filled with highlights for visitors and exhibitors. A key attraction is the debut of the new "Future Hub," a central area within the fair providing a setting for daily rotating events.

“As the supporting organization for SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025, we at DVS are seeing a strong interest from companies to actively shape this transforming industry and to explore new avenues for presentation, information exchange and networking,” emphasized Dr.-Ing. Roland Boecking, CEO of DVS e. V. “The upcoming SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025 will not only be a complete success but a driving force advancing innovation and momentum within the industry.”

The motto “Join the Future” reflects the fair's aims in several ways: Companies and professionals are invited to be part of the community shaping the industry’s future. “One year before the start, bookings are significantly above the level of the previous event. We’re pleased that so many companies, both local and international, already consider themselves part of the ‘SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN’ community and have booked their booth for the upcoming edition,” said Oliver P. Kuhrt, CEO of Messe Essen, regarding the positive feedback from the industry.

Focus on Young Talent

The trade fair brings together international expertise, innovation and know-how to collaboratively address the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow. “Join” also represents the networking within the industry, knowledge exchange and the promotion of partnerships. “The welding, cutting, and joining industry is undergoing a transformation that can only succeed if the sector works together to develop solutions. As the world’s leading trade fair, SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025 provides the ideal conditions for advancing the issues of our time,” explained Christina Kleinpaß, project manager for SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN. She added, “This includes sustainable, resource-efficient production, as well as the continued digitalization and automation of manufacturing. Finding qualified professionals remains one of the industry’s greatest challenges, which is why we’re particularly committed to engaging young talent with an exciting program.”

Launch of the “Future Hub”

SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025 will introduce the “Future Hub” for the first time. Key topics will include digitalization, sustainability, workforce shortages, cybersecurity and social media. The moderated communication area will feature best practices, feedback sessions, panel discussions and informal talks, creating space for experience sharing and collaboration across the industry. Planned events also include recruitment formats and “Meet & Greets” with industry figures, as well as popular content creators and influencers. And the event promises plenty of fun as well: contests, hands-on activities and entertainment are integral parts of the programme.

Interactive participation opportunities

For exhibitors, the “Future Hub” provides an additional platform to showcase their companies, ongoing projects and new products to an interested professional audience. They also have the chance to participate in themed tours, all of which start and end at the “Future Hub.”
